Hope and wish

Hope. Se utiliza para hacer referencia a las cosas que son posibles en el presente y el futuro

Wish and if. Se utiliza para referirnos a cosas que son imposibles en el presente

Wish + would/wouldn't. Se utiliza para expresar insatisfacción con una situación en el presente

Ejemplos:

Pasado ➨ hope + simple past

• I hope you had a nice time at the party last night

Presente ➨ hope + simple present

• I hope I pass the exam

                    hope + simple progressive

• I hope you're having a great time

                     wish + simple past

• I wish I had a better idea

                     if only + simple past

• If only you were here

                     wish + would

• I wish he would stop that noise

Futuro ➨ hope + will

• I hope I'll have enough money to buy a new car
